USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) First appeared in Star Trek: The Original Series (1965) Built between 2243 and 2245 in the Star Trek universe. Starfleet commissioned the USS Enterprise in 2245. USS Enterprise is a Constition-class Starship. The ship has gone through many slight redesign as technology has improved. Most recently it appeared in the 2009 Star Trek reboot by J.J. Abrams who wanted the Enterprise to have a "Hot-Rod" look while retaining the traditional shape.
